Gaylord Specialty Healthcare has launched a new program to give patients who need ventilators to help them breath more mobility as they recuperate.A $75,000 grant from the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority has helped the Wallingford-based rehabilitation hospital purchase three portable ventilators. George Kyriacou, Gaylord’s chief executive officer.explains what the grant means to patients and later Lorraine Cullen, the hospital’s supervisor of respiratory care, discusses why making patients more mobile is beneficial.  « Less
