When most schools around the nation are celebrating Rev. Dr. MLK Jr. Day by volunteering or watching a movie, Eastampton Community School is doing something different this year. They are making a video in commemoration of the late Civil Rights activist. The entire student body and staff came together to create the third and final part of the video: to sing 'I have a dream for the world'. Sixth-eighth grade Mmusic instructor Jackie Smith prepared the music. "It's always been my dream to have the entire school together to sing a song together as one," said Smith. Eastampton Student Council Vice President Selena Francis has been working on the project since December. "Our goal was to have the whole community together to remember the (MLK Jr.) day," said Francis. "I think the kids will take more from it, since they'll be an active participant in this," said Smith.
