January is National Skating Month. And, in its twelfth year, 700 member clubs and over 1,000 registered basic skills skating schools are reaching out to new skaters to learn the basics and benefits of figure skating. "It's a life-long sport that you can enjoy at any age," said Pennsauken's Flyer Skate Zone Master Coach, Pat Mudge. "It doesn't need a lot of equipment, or a team--you can enjoy it by yourself or with friends and family."
