At Hatfield Aquatic Center, donors plunged down slides and into the freezing water of its outdoor pool. The fundraising event, Sharkie's Shivering Slides, raised money for the center's future projects and attracted children and adults to take a plunge in 36 degree weather. "The pool is not used in the winter, which we thought was weird, because it can be," said Hatfield Aquatic Center Public Relations Supervisor, Megan McNerney. "Polar bear plunges are big, especially at the beach. People do it, so we figured we can do it." Watch reporter Amanda King's video to see the plunge and to learn more about the center.  « Less
