The snow will continue wrapping up from west to east this morning/early afternoon, before it finally tapers off buy about 1 p.m. Our focus will now shift to the wind, which will continue to increase throughout the day, gusting over 45 mph at times. This, along with all the snow we saw this morning, will cause blizzard conditions and drifting snow. We have had several reports of road closures in Iowa due to accidents already this morning, and roads will continue to become impassible in some open locations, and travel is not advised. Temperatures will hold steady in the 20s today, with wind chills near zero. Widespread closures of major roadways are possible.  « Less
