A cat was seriously burned and almost died in a vicious act of animal cruelty recently in Toledo's north end. The images of the feline's injuries FOX Toledo News was sent by the Toledo Area Humane Society are very graphic. The cat's name is George. It's owners realized, something wasn't right when George returned home one night around Halloween. Looking closer, they realized he'd been burned. George's face and paws left the cat disfigured, An area veterinarian wasn't even sure right away if George still had eyes, and the vet had to cut off what was left of the cat's ears. The vet wasn't convinced George would even survive. But it's recovery has been amazing in the past three weeks. The wounds are still healing, but George can see and is playful as ever.  « Less
