Whether you love it, or hate it... This warmer-than-average November has people talking about the difference in degrees from one year ago... Reporter Amber Schatz asks what this warm-up means to you? While most golf courses have closed down by November 8th... It's been like summer here this weekend... As people continue to soak up the sun. (Glen Horner/Bismarck) "It's gorgeous, went fishing this morning, then went out golfing this afternoon." Golf shoes, shorts, and t-shirts are certainly appropriate attire on a day like today... Quite a difference when comparing what most people were wearing one year ago... (Horner) "We had our snow boots on and snow shovels out, right?" But from this sport... to another sport...Not everyone is thrilled about the weather conditions. ( Barb Sinner) "It was a tough hunt this year." ( Lance Darwin/Wahpeton) "It's a lot warmer this year and it's harder to find deer, didn't see as many because it was so nice out, spread out a lot more." For opening deer season... Some hunters say it's been much more of a challenge to fill their tags... with less than ideal conditions. (Barb Sinner) "If it's snow you can pick them out a lot more, because they're camoflauged in this kind of landscape, but in the white they show up a lot more and you can spot them a lot farther away, tell if they're going away from you, see them way better." (Lance Darwin/Wahpeton) "I think if it had been colder and probably some snow, they would be bundled up a little more and easier to see, made it a little more difficult but still managed to find them." Others are busy finding ways to enjoy the warm weather before the white stuff hits. (Tara Ritter/Mandan) "I have two little boys, been outside playing baseball, in park, just trying to enjoy it as much as we can, until the sun goes down." (Mark Schneider) "I enjoy both, I'm originally from Colorado and used to about 60 inches of winter so here in Bismarck we don't get as much snow but it's kind of nice to have a break, and I like the sun." (Barb Sinner/West Fargo) "Last year when we were coming out it was about zero visibility and it was storming and blizzardding and this year it just about as nice a November day you can possibly get." Prairie West Golf Course workers say they will stay open until the first big snowfall. « Less
