Those who live outside the city of Toledo may soon be paying more for police protection. Springfield Township administrators said the Lucas County Sheriff's Office has proposed charging the township some $2.5 million a year for sheriff's patrols and detective services. With a possible tax levy which will cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $400 more annually.  « Less
