Two dissident Democrats in Albany have apparently switched voting sides, giving Republicans control of the state Senate again, the AP reported. The new GOP caucus has ousted Sen. Malcolm Smith as majority leader. But Smith later said that the session was "gaveled out" and therefore the vote was out of order. « Less
