A Boater Safety Class will soon take place in Cadillac, and while the event is almost a month away, now is the time to register. The Wexford County Sheriff's Office will hold a Boater Safety Class on Saturday, June 6 from 9am until 3pm; boaters between 12 and 16 years of age are required to take a class to obtain a Boater Safety Certificate before operating a boat in the State of Michigan. While the upcoming class won't take place until June 6, it's the only class that will be offered by the Sheriff's Office this year, so those interested in attending are encouraged to register early.
