An upcoming golf outing will help to benefit numerous youth sports programs in the Traverse City area. The Grand Traverse Bay YMCA will hold their tenth annual golf outing beginning at 9am on May 16. The event will take place at the Elmbrook Golf Course in Traverse City; registration is $70 per person or $280 per team. Children under 14 play for $45. Dave Eitland, Director of Development for the YMCA, said that the golf outing is a long standing tradition that benefits kids who need financial assistance to participate at the YMCA. Proceeds from the outing benefit the YMCA's sports programs, including Basketball, Football, Gymnastics and much more.
