A local college will soon be offering classes to elementary school students, all as part of a summer learning program. Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City will launch the 32nd season if its "College for Kids" program beginning on June 15. Courses will be offered for students between 4 and 17 years of age, and will cover a wide range of interests including art, science, writing and much more. The goal of the program is provide fun and learning in a "hands-on, minds-on environment."
