Now checking todays weather. Temperatures were below freezing. The terrain is powdery, powdery, yoo hoo powdery! And the snow cover is excellent. Visibility is variable with a touch of sun this morning. At the top of mountain we should see a minimum temperature of minus 12 degrees and a maximum of minus 5 at the base. Wind chill will bring temperatures down to around minus 22. Unlike yesterday winds have eased off opening the Hanazono area and some top lifts across the mountain. Risk of avalanche is high with new snow layer so gates may not open. Check with patrol for updates.  « Less
