A two-time World Series champion will soon be helping kids in Traverse City to learn about baseball. Doug Mirabelli will be teaching a baseball batting skills clinic on Saturday, February 28. The clinic is open to boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 14; the event will be held at the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA, located at 3000 Racquet Club Drive in Traverse City. All participants are required to register for the class by noon on Wednesday, February 25; the cost is $20 for YMCA members and $25 for non-members. Due to the success of a previous YMCA baseball clinic featuring Mirabelli, the group is encouraging anyone interested in participating to register early.
