Are you frustrated with the road conditions? Many people have been voicing their concerns on web pages and by calling the public works department. However, you can do more to make the process run more efficient. andamp;lt;a href=andamp;quot;http://www.kxnet.com/t/brad-feldmanandamp;quot; class=andamp;quot;kxInlineLinkandamp;quot;andamp;gt;Brad Feldmanandamp;lt;/aandamp;gt; takes you with the roads supervisor to see the obstacles crews come across that slow them down. Take a look at this. It's a car that is buried underneath the snowfall. Maneuvering around cars seems to be the biggest problem crews face when trying get the roads cleared. andamp;lt;a href=andamp;quot;http://www.kxnet.com/t/bob-stenehjemandamp;quot; class=andamp;quot;kxInlineLinkandamp;quot;andamp;gt;Bob Stenehjemandamp;lt;/aandamp;gt;/ andamp;lt;a href=andamp;quot;http://www.kxnet.com/t/bismarck-ndandamp;quot; class=andamp;quot;kxInlineLinkandamp;quot;andamp;gt;Bismarckandamp;lt;/aandamp;gt; Streets Supervisor: andamp;quot; Some of them as we seen as you and I drove around and looked some have been their all winter and have not been moved.andamp;quot; This car seems to be one of them. With all of the snow that has fallen this month you cant tell just by looking but when you get closer. There is no snow under the car just pavement. Stenehjem says you might not think of this as a problem. But he says when the next snow falls, it puts drivers in a pinch. Bob Stenehjem: andamp;quot; We keep working our way closer and closer to the centerline and then the streets get narrower. We do the best we can when our guys are driving from one spot to the next to try and go in different areas of town and push those back over.andamp;quot; Stenehjem says it's not just the parked cars. He says those people trying to get around are being hidden by the creativity of others. Bob Stenehjem: andamp;quot; The other thing that bothers us is when people pile up their snow from their parking lots and they push them up real high and they are close to the corner of the intersections and other people and other drivers cannot see to get out on that cross street like we saw on south third.andamp;quot; Here is that intersection. You can see the problem. As drivers pull up to the intersection, it's like a game of chance. Stenehjem says although most people are having problems finding a place to put all the snow, try to keep safety in mind. Stenehjem says if a car sits on the road too long and creates too much of a hazard for drivers they will tow the vehicle. The average towing bill can run about $70. « Less
