It seems like everyone is holding some form of an open house as we hit the holiday season, and Downtown Traverse City is no exception. The City is encouraging people to "share the spirit of the season" at the downtown district's holiday open house. Merchants in Downtown Traverse City will be hosting open houses from 6 until 9pm on December 12; plenty of outdoor activities will be going on as well. Front Street will host entertainment, refreshments, hands-on activities and of course, an appearance by Santa Clause. A free Holiday Trolley will be available as well. The event continues late into the evening with Downtown Traverse City's Fifth Annual "Midnight Madness;" the downtown district will remain open until midnight for the event.
