Lawmakers in Rhode Island plan to meet again today to tackle the state's huge deficit. This afternoon, they plan to discuss budget overruns, monitoring spending, and accountability. Rhode Island is facing a deficit of over 370 million dollars. Some of the ideas floated include cutting aid to cities and towns, raising fees and taxes, and putting a stop to outsourcing. « Less
