We here at Local Edition have been following numerous aspects of this year's historic elections throughout the past 24 hours, and as we wrap up our continued coverage, we have a final look at a few of the key issues that have been decided. We begin with the Presidential election, which has been won this year by Senator Barack Obama. Obama has defeated Senator John McCain in the 2008 Presidential Election, and will become the next president of the United States. Moving on to a brief look at the Wexford County Recreation Millage, which has been a hot topic in our area, we've found that the millage has passed with 7576 people voting "yes" on the millage, and 7442 voting "no." Next up is Proposal 1, which, if passed would legalize the use of medicinal marijuana. As of 1 o'clock this morning, 63% of voters agreed with the proposal, and 37% were against it. At that time, 74% of precincts were reporting. Proposal 2 has been a very close race; as of 1 o'clock this morning 52% of voters said "yes" to the proposal with 48% saying no. At that time, 74% of precincts were reporting. That wraps up this morning look at a few of the key issues at this year's elections... it also wraps up our continued coverage of the 2008 Elections.
