If the Bismarck Bobcats aren't used to the road yet, they'll get used to it quickly. Between now and January 9th, they're only at home five times. But so far, they're 3-2-1 away from Bismarck. For more on that, lets go 'Inside the Den.' Two games against two teams in two different towns in two nights - it resulted in two wins for the Bismarck Bobcats...and now they're just two points out of first place. (Byron Pool:) It is always important to get off to a good start on the road. Last year, we didn't have a very good road record and its always a different animal than playing at home and for a coach, I always think it is nice going on the road because I can kind of dictate their day and what they want to do and sort of structure their day so they can get prepared. For the third time this season, a Bobcat has rececieved recognition from the league. Denmark native Nick Jensen is the Central Division's Player of the Week after his 3 goal, 1 assist performance on the road. (Nick Jensen:) The team was all working for each other. We kept shooting and doing all the dirty work and not playing fine Hockey all the time, but playing hard and tough. Life doesn't get any easier, next on the schedule is North Iowa and in recent years, the Outlaws have had the Bobcats number. (Byron Pool:) I think the biggest thing is that we have to come out and play our game. We haven't done very well against North Iowa in the last, I think it is up to 19 games now - the losing streak against them. In my short experience with them is that whenever we play North Iowa for whatever reason, we get into a run-and-gun game with them, which is not our style, so if we come out and play 'Bobcat Hockey,' which to me is blue collar, getting the puck deep, going to work and being physical - we should be fine. The Cats upcoming road trip is similiar to last week's as they'll be at North Iowa on Friday and Owatonna on Saturday.  « Less
