Notice something a little fishy going on around Bismarck-Mandan? You're not the only one that's seen a lot of fancy boats heading to the river. They're all here for the FLW Walleye Tour Championship that begins Wednesday. The winner takes home 150-thoUSDAnd dollars. But you could say everyones a winner during the next few dayswith give-a-ways, autographs from the pros, and fun events for the family. Here's the story. There's a lot of horsepower being unleashed on the Missouri River this week. Dustin Kjeldin travels a lot faster now than he did as a kid. He learned to fish on a small lake on the South Dakota/Minnesota border. Dustin:Actually my parents didn't fish at all. My grandpa fished some but he was pretty old by the time I was interested in fishing. I had a small paddleboat with a small Minnkota on back put by batteries in the back of the paddleboat and I'd go out all day fishing. Kjelden is the 2007 FLW Walleye Tour champion. He didn't make the cut this yearbut says it's a can't miss event. One off the water attraction hi-lites the 100th anniversary of Evinrude. Dustin:1st one to come out with outboard motor in 1909 and there's gonna be all kinds of games blow up air toys, trout fishing stuff for the whole family lots of fun, lots of give-a-ways there gonna be lures and rods and all kinds of stuff given away. And with great fishing expectedorganizers hope to get you hooked on The FLW Walleye Tour Championship. Dustin: And the championship is a 650-thousand dollar payout and only the top 50 get to go so your odds of winning big money are pretty good. and somebody here in the next couple of days is gonna walk away with 150-thousand and there's gonna be a lot of excitement. All the action begins Wednesday morning at 7:30amwith weigh-ins starting at 4:30 at the Civic Center. FLW is named after the legendary founder of Ranger boatsForrest Wood.
