The first mountain lion of the season has been killed in North Dakota. A 107-pound female shot near Grassy Butte on Wednesday by Rick Mittleider of Tappen. Mittleider says he and two others were using a predator call to try to attract a cougar, and it worked. The lion was taken in Zone 1, which encompasses the Badlands south of Williston. Zone 2 includes the rest of the state. The quota for Zone 1 is eight lions. Zone 2 has no quota.  « Less
