That building to the SE of Dakota Square now has its first occupant. The engineering and survey firm Kadrmas, Lee and Jackson relocated here at 2900 10th Street SE this week. They are using about half of building. Dale Christensen says they hope to add a couple more engineers on staff. They have been in Minot about 20 years and have designed many projects in the community. Kadrmas, Lee and Jackson is a North Dakota based firm but has offices in several other states as well. Lots of progress lately on the new CVS Pharmacy. Officials tell us the new 13,000 square foot store will open in January. At Dakota Square, officials there say when CVS moves out, they will divide that large location into two or three smaller stores, although they have no announcements yet. She is at stay at home mom with three little girls. Massage Therapist Tillman Jones is in a new location, at 2001 8th Street SE near the Holiday Inn. He's been in practice in Minot for five years. At 20th Ave. Styles in the 20th Ave. Mall they now have 6 stylists plus a tattoo artist. The newest stylists are Stan the man, Tammy Lindbloom and Brandy Gierke-Halland. In Bottineau, a new occupant in the former Red Rooster on Main Street. It's called Pretty Paws, owned by Daisha Herbel. She does pet grooming for animals small or large. Herbel says she has been involved in the pet business for many years. And finally in Belden, this month Renee and Warren Lahtinen opened the Belden Stop. It's along Highway 8, a busy highway in the midst of oil country. The couple gutted the former Belden Post Office, and turned the building into a convenience store, the only business in this little town. For Business Beat, I'm Carla Burbidge.  « Less
