Its been nearly a week, but 'the king of Golf's' visit to Grand Forks is still the talk of that town and a lot of other towns in North Dakota. For more on that, here's this week's 'On the Green.' It isn't often that a golf course designer draws hundreds to his visit. But when you're master mind is Arnold Palmer, it's a different story. (Bill Hutchinson:) Every time that I have, he has been just like you would want him to be. He's a gentleman, he'll listen to you and answer any question that you have and seem very sincere. 'The King' was welcomed to 'King's Walk' in Grand Forks last Wednesday as he came to see the course for the first time since it opened in 2002. 'Arnie' says it was the best follow up he's been on yet. (Arnold Palmer:) I just can't say enough about how good it is. The 78-year old says he doesn't swing the clubs much anymore, but wishes he could. Instead, he watches over his 300 courses worldwide and hopes this passion can inspire the next generation of golfers. (Arnold Palmer:) Just think, one of these kids on the ground here - and I am not kidding at all - could be a 'Tiger Woods' one day. One part of the visit that impressed him had nothing to do with the greens or fairways, just the city where they're located. (Arnold Palmer:) I was here when they were building the floodwalls or the dikes are whatever you call them and what a wonderful job that is and to think that this community has supported the program.  « Less
