FINAL. NASA'S MISSION TO EXPLORE MARS WILL INCLUDE SOME STOPS IN NEW MEXICO. A TEAM OF NASA SCIENTISTS SAY ON A RECENT VISIT TO WHITE SANDS NATIONAL MONUMENT, THEY FOUND THE SANDY TERRAIN IS REMARKABLY SIMILAR TO A PARTICULAR REGION OF MARS. THE TEAM WILL RETURN TO NEW MEXICO NEXT MONTH TO TEST SOME OF ITS EQUIPMENT. LAST FALL, NASA ALSO BROKE GROUND ON A LAUNCHPAD AT WHITE SANDS, TO TEST ITS NEXT GENERATION OF SPACECRAFT. « Less
