Its the greatest shot in Golf, and its also the hardest...yet everyday, somebody, somewhere comes up with a hole-in-one and plenty of North Dakotans of a variety of ages have aces on their resumes. (Dan Williamson:) We are 'On the Green' this week and we are back at Tom O'Leary Golf Course - a course that's known for having the 'luck of the Irish' and whenever you get a hole-in-one, you need a little bit of luck and that brings us to our guest, Ethan Luck. Yesterday, he got a hole-in-one out on this course and Ethan, I guess you could say that you need a little bit of luck, hunh? (Ethan Luck:) Dan, it wasn't luck - it was all skill! (Dan Williamson:) Take us back to yesterday, what exactly happened on that 8th hole? (Ethan Luck:) Me and my brother got up to the tee box and the last couple of times that I have been golfing here, I have been getting a lot of left hooks, so I turned a little bit more and it kind of bounced on the edge of the green and rolled right in. (Dan Williamson:) Did you know that it was in right away or did you have to get to the green and see it before you believed it? (Ethan Luck:) We couldn't see the ball, so we thought it was either in the hole or it was hiding. (Dan Williamson:) You've been golfing a long time. You are 11-years old, but this isn't your first round of golf, is it? (Ethan Luck:) No, I've been golfing in almost every free junior golf tournament, throughout Bismarck and Mandan, so it is pretty cool. (Dan Williamson:) How bad do you want to have another one happen? (Ethan Luck:) Really bad! It would make everybody believe me a little bit more. Trust me, I believe him. By the way, he used a 6-iron. Sadly, he lost the golfball on the next hole...thinking it might bring him more luck. It was an orange 'Ultra' if anyone's wondering.  « Less
