When the Class A State Legion Baseball tournament is over, a total of 15 games will have been played in 5 days. A lot of work everyday gets put in by the crew to keep the field in tip top shape for every game. And we all know who likes a lot of work...Clayton Clark. So here he is with the Corbett Field Crew getting the fields ready for the tournament for this week's Someone's Gotta Do It... (Clayton Clark, KX News) Okay Mike this is your job, taking care of Corbett Field for all these games going on this week so tell me what you have to do everyday. (Mike) We to start in the morning we open up all the dressing rooms, lockers, bathrooms, and get it so the officials and the players can come in and then we start with game prep. (Chalker Noise) You're going to walk that all the way down to where the grass meets the dirt in the very back. (Clayton Clark, KX News) I could really mess up this tournament if I wanted to. (Mike) Okay you just have to lift it up so I go by there's room to get through there. (Clayton Clark, KX News) Okay so when you come, lift? (Mike) Yup (Clayton Clark, KX News) I did it. (Mike) What you're going to do is you're going to allign this barb right here (ya) and try to keep it right on ths inside of that line. (Clayton Clark, KX News) I hope this isn't an important line. (Mike) Geese, I think I'm going to hire you. You did a nice job on that line. (Clayton Clark, KX News) Thank you. I was pretty nervous. (Mike) You know what, that's better than me and I've been doing it for 28 years. (Clayton Clark, KX News) I didn't come here to show you up. Sorry. (Mike) Okay this is our stencil here. You're going to line this up with this part of home plate. Just like that. You're right on again. Geese he even knows how to cover it up already. (Clayton Clark, KX News) Yeah, I notice that mistake I made right away. (Mike) I'm going to have you take this line here. See how I rakes mine out and that's the next one to cover that one up. (Clayton Clark, KX News) I made mine a little thick and now I'm paying the price. (Mike) Now the next part. (There's more?) There's this line here that we made with our wheel, we want to try and get that out if we can. (Clayton Clark, KX News) I dont' know why I'm brooming a field full of dirt but I don't ask questions. It's like mud out here. (Mike) All we have left to do before game time is paint bases. Don't worry about getting paint on here, worry about it getting on you. (Clayton Clark, KX News) I need to repaint my shoes after the pitchers mound. Can I paint my name on the side.
