More teams and more of a postseason! That's what Class B Basketball has compared to Class A in North Dakota and that fact often leads to the 'great debate' of which is tougher? That answer might never be decided, but bragging rights can be... as all-stars from both classes will clash in the 'Lion's Series.' The girls teams in 'A' and 'B' have already started practicing, and kids from the smaller schools will also be smaller on the court, as Class A has an obvious height advantage. However, Class B feels that they'll have the edge in speed and stamina. (Kent Harding:) We are not as big as they are. I think they (Class A) have six 'six-footers' and we have three, so the match-ups with them at the post are going to be battles and they are going to have to match-up their guards in the same sense because we are a little more guard-heavy, so it is going to be a battle of which match-up is best and who can put those right pieces together. (Steph Brossart:) I think the key is to really pressure them (Class A) so that they can't get the ball into the post and by doing that, we have just got to play tough defense. The first game of their series is on Tuesday in Bismarck and the 'finale' is Wednesday in Fargo. Both games are at 6:00 p.m. central time. The boys from both classes will also battle. They'll tip off at 8:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday from the same sites.  « Less
