She has been working towards this goal for as long as she can remember and today as Dagny Knutson took on the waters of Omaha, Nebraska, it was the beginning of a new chapter for her...a chapter that could eventually take her to China. Today in her first swim at the Olympic Trails, she swam the 400 I-M and came in 14th overall. Her 2nd personal fastest time. Dagny Knutson: I was pretty pleased with my swim, it wasn't the best time but it's my first time being at a meet like that and I was almost leading at the beginning of the race, so I was pleased,. Lauren Shehadi: Which leads me to my next qeustion Dagny, as I as watching the broadcast, at the beginning the announcer was thoroughly impressed with you, did that nice start give you confidence throughout. Dagny: Yes, being ahead at the beginning of the race, my goal was just to hang on as best as I could. Dagny competes next on Tuesday in the 200 I-M and the 200 Free.  « Less
