A major donation to cancer care in Minot aims to give patients a helping hand in healing. Today the Otto Bremer Foundation presented Trinity Health a check for 30-thousand dollars for their cancer exercise physiology rehab program. Typically patients undergoing treatement for cancer suffer from fatigue, depression and toxicities and the exercise rehab program is proving to help not only physically but mentally as well. The grant will allow Trinity to offer the new exercise rehab program to all patients and help further help in the healing process. (Dr. Stephen Makoni, Internal Medicine Physician) This program helps us to stay on course with chemotherapy if the patients are fit and able to give more aggressive chemotherapy's so we can get the advantage of providing those benefits to our patients. VO CONTINUES The Otto Bremer Foundation grant was originally approved for 15 thousand, half of the grant, but today representatives from the foundation decided to fully fund the grant for the rehab program with 30 thousand dollars because of the need in cancer treatment.  « Less
