Prayer...America's Strength and Shield. That was the theme for the 57th Annual National Day Of Prayer. Today's celebration took place all over the country. Here in Minot the event WAS set for the steps of the Ward County Courthouse, but bad weather moved the prayer rally across the street at Bethany Lutheran Church. Linda Olson, one of the volunteers for the event, saw the bad weather as a good thing... (Linda Olson, Volunteer) This is o.k. It happened one other time. We used to meet at City Hall across from the library and the weather was bad so we went over to First Baptist. And I'm kind of glad we're inside so we can pray for rain now for our farmers. It's going to be O.K. There are two more events going on today the Spirit Of America Concert of Prayer at 7:00 at Our Redeemer's Church. You can also attend a 7:00 rally at The Rock located at 318 5th Ave NW in Minot.  « Less
