You're supposed to get the oil changed in your car every 3-thousand miles. But where does all of that used oil go? It goes right to Clayton Clark. For this week's Someone's Gotta Do It Clayton is going underneath Tires Plus to clean out some used oil pipes and crates... (Clayton Clark, KX News) Today we're at Tires PLus, where the oil change is nothing compared to the clean up afterwards. We're in the quick lube side of the building down in the basement. We're going to clean some grates and clean some pipes going into the used oil tank. So what we're going to do is push this stuff down as far as we can go and then grab some cleaner and spray it in there and loosen it up and once you get it loosened up real good kind of wipe it down and find a garbage can and start shoveling away. (Clayton Clark, KX News) Time to scrape the gunk with this make shift cardboard box scraper. You want me to scrape it down all the way to this end. Trust me when I say the oil is not the grossest part. How well is this stuff going to come off my hands and clothes It'll probably stain some of it. (Clayton Clark, KX News) Alright, time to spray it down i guess. Time for some purple power. I don't know if the purple power is any match for this stuff. I gotta give you credit. This is pretty gross. Ten minutes in it's already the dirtiest I've ver been. What do I do now. This is the used oil comes through this pipe. A bunch of plastic tubes get stuck in it and it plugs up and takes a while for the used oil to go to the used oil tank. What we're going to do today is take this pipe off anf then clean out as far as we can (Clayton Clark, KX News) Just reach in and pull the junk out. You guys don't mess around. There's some how sunflower seeds everywhere with these guys. So I guess you guys aren't firm believers in gloves or anything, that's big time. That's hands on right there. So job well done? Alright.
