South Africa has been forced to impose power rationing in a bid to alleviate a crippling electricity crisis. For three months, beginning on March 31, residences and businesses which have been slow to respond to calls to voluntary reduce consumption will see their supplies cut by 10 percent. The goal is to avoid a complete blackout, but it's bad news for industry, and has forced the government to lower its growth forecast for the year. « Less
