Super Tuesday is less than a week away. Voters in North Dakota and twenty-one other states will be heading to the polls. It's your chance to say which candidate you want on the ballot in November. Brad Feldman shows you what your caucus vote means... Heading into Super Tuesday, the races for both parties are neck and neck. Democratic Senator Barack Obama and Republican Senator John McCain hold slight leads. (Rick Gion/ ND Democratic Party) The presidential campaign is a fight for every last delegate possible. (Gary Emineth/ ND Republican Party) You know I dont think it is going to be resolved by Super Tuesday. Both parties say for these reasons, North Dakota is going to play a major role in deciding who will be their respective presidential candidate come November. However, in order to do this they need you to come and voice your vote. On Febraury Fifth, the republicans will have seventy four polling locations across the state. (Gary Emineth/ ND Republican Party) We are allowing people to vote in the cities we have voting so they don't have to be in their own district or precinct. If you are voting on the democratic side, you will have double the polling places as those people voting on the right. (Rick Gion/ ND Democratic Party) We've been hearing that there is just so much support for Democrats out there we want to make sure that everyone can exercise democracy that day and that there is a polling place near you. Once you make it to one of these sites, what you need to do next is simple. (Gary Emineth/ ND Republican Party) We have a registration form that we are asking everyone to register so we make sure we have a name and address so we can validate they are a North Dakota citizen. (Rick Gion/ ND Democratic Party) You can visit some tables. Representatives of candidates if you want to. But you can just pretty much go in and vote if you have your mind made up. Once all of the votes are tallied. Each party will select delegates to send to the national conventions. The Republican presidential candidates have twenty six votes. The Democratic candidates are fighting for twenty one votes. The number of votes a presidential candidate recieves depends on the percentage of votes they get February fifth. Brad Feldman KX News If you would like more information about the Democrat and Republican caucus you can check out www.DakotaPolitics.com. Also, you can call each of the parties.
