The Bismarck Civic Center lost about seven thousand dollars in 2007. This is despite almost five hundred events being held at the civic center and exhibit hall in 2007. More than one hundred forty million dollars worth of sales tax dollars was also paid to the city. Both events and sales tax dollars collected are up from the year before.
