Senator John McCain is even closer to his party's nomination tonight. After racking up another win in the Wisconsin GOP primary, the Republican front-runner had an unbeatable lead going into Wisconsin. The win leaves McCain's only rival, former ArKansas Governor Mike Huckabee, even farther behind. McCain says he's now at the point that even a "superstitious" former Naval aviator can claim he will be his party's nominee. On the democratic side, candidate Barack Obama continues his roll as well. He's won the Wisconsin primary making it his ninth straight primary or caucus win over former first lady Hillary CLinton. Obama cut deeply into Clinton's political bedrock, splitting the support of white women almost evenly and running well among working class voters, according to polling place interviews. The economy and trade were key issues in the race. Seven in 10 voters said international trade has resulted in lost jobs in Wisconsin.  « Less
