North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Roger Johnson is headed back to Cuba to pitch North Dakota farm products. Johnson says he's traveled to Cuba seven times in the past seven years pitching the state's commodities. He says the state has sold about 30 million dollars worth of peas and lentils to Cuba since 2001. But he says a deal he helped broker last year that would have sent 100 tons of seed potatoes to Cuba has fallen through. Johnson says rules have not been crafted to deal with potato food-safety issues for shipment to the communist island nation. Johnson says he hopes the deal can still be done later this year. « Less
