How do you decorate for the holidays? For most people a few strings of lights, maybe a lighted reindeer in the yard and a nice wreath on the door will help get you in the Christmas spirit. Brad Feldman shows us some neighbors in Bismarck who have taken the decorating to a whole new level. (Sound- song) Chestnut Drive in Bismarck. Its where a couple neighbors have decided to fire up a friendly competition. (Gigi Wilz/ Participant) Were at 18,000 lights. I am just under a mile of extension cord. (Greg Wilz/ Participant) I'm at around 20 some thousand and a little over a mile of extension cord. (Sound) (Greg Wilz/ Participant) You got to stay ahead of the Jones (Gigi Wilz/ Participant) Somehow I dont know if I will ever keep up but I am trying really hard. (Greg Wilz/ Participant) In this case it is my sister. (Gigi Wilz/ Participant) Its funny because I am not sure that I will ever win at least he will never concede that I will win even if I get all of the votes because after all he is the big borther. This sibling rivalry is more than just who gets to pull the plug on the others bragging rights. The Wilz like to see that special christmas twinkle in peoples eyes. (Greg Wilz/ Participant) and its just fun to put them up and watch the people enjoy them as they drive by. (Sound) When the last string of lights is plugged in, these siblings leave it up to their famly to see who wins that years competition. This might just be when they find out who is their parents favorite... at least for this year. Brad Feldman KX News> Both Wilz say they are already planning for next years displays. They say the day after christmas they will be heading to the stores to buy more lights.  « Less
