One of the region's most popular Christmas concert traditions is returning this weekend - the Singing Christmas Tree. The concert is put on by members of the choir and drama team at Minot's First Assembly of God Church. The theme for this year's presentation is Look to the Light, a play written by choir director Amy Martin and her husband. About 200 people are involved in putting on the Singing Christmas Tree, including 60 in the choir and 40 in the drama group. Martin says it takes a lot of commitment from the congregation of 550 people to present eight performances of the show. (Amy Martin, Director) Our church likes to do this as a gift to the community. Tickets are free and of course we want to bless people and give it for Christmas and use it as an evangelism tool if they don't have a home church we invite them to worship with us on Sunday mornings. Cam 2 The Singing Christmas Tree is being presented eight times between tonight and December 9th at Minot's First Assembly of God Church. « Less
