The waiting is finally over for the Humane Society in Minot. 60 days ago the facility had to quarantine all of its dogs because of a stray that was brought in with virus known as distemper. That meant no dogs were allowed to be brought in and none were allowed to leave. Luckily the disease did not spread and the dogs are now allowed to be adopted... (Kristine Seabolt, Kennel Manager) It's hard because they've been under quarantine so they haven't had as much playtime as they would have had normally and to make sure they stayed healthy and happy. The biggest thing was to make sure they were happy during that 60 days with the less traffic we've had so that was a little trying but the staff did a real good job. Seabolt says the Humane Society spent part of that 60 days of quarantine to get caught up on other things at the shelter that normally get put off because of all the foot traffic in and out of facility. « Less
