Yesterday Bismarck Police said they didn't know where a sex offender they're supposed to keep track of is... Now they know. 29-year old Donald Pettersen turned himself in yesterday in Dickinson. But when authorities realized he'd been living in Dickson since October seventh they arrested him for failure to register within three days. He's in Jail. He was living at the Budget Inn in Bismarck. Police say he worked there but was let go and evicted after they determined he was a sex offender. According to state law, registered sex offenders have three days to notify police of a new address. Pettersen is a low risk sex offender.  « Less
