Almost a month after the end of the fighting in Lebanon between the army and Islamists the refugee camp at Nahr al-Bared in the north of the country has been reopened. The three months of conflict there cost the lives of 167 soldiers and 222 Islamists. Reporters were able to visit the camp under military and government surveillance. Palestinians have sought to reassure local people, who are not keen on the reconstruction of the camp, which is not due in any case to take place for at least six months.
