We've heard a lot about an increase in Canadian visitors to Minot lately. This week, those visitors included some special guests from Minot's sister city of Moose Jaw, who paid a visit to meet with members of the city council. The group met for breakfast and then gathered at City Hall to learn about the city's inner workings and strengthen the sister city relationship between Minot and Moose Jaw. Moose Jaw's mayor says the trip will help build on the sister city arrangement. (Dale McBain, Moose Jaw Mayor) I guess a couple of things we wanted to get out of this trip, one is to see the city and see what things are going on down here. We really also wanted to talk to the mayor about the sister city concept and where we see that going. We're also going to take a look at the bio-diesel plant just outside of Minot and we're looking forward to that too. Sometime in the near future Minot will send delegates to Moose Jaw for a similar trip.  « Less
