one mother calls a case of bullying at red bank high school. what really upsets the mom, is that her daughter was punished for it. so was it a fight ... or was it bullying? i sat down with the mother to hear her side in tonights top local story. red bank high school students gather around in the hallway as they watch two girls fight... this is the video one student recorded. but rebecca ashley is the mother of the girl spending most of the time on the ground...and she isn't calling it a fight. 18:23:27 i consider it bullying. 18:29:29 she had a mild concussion...the left ear the stitches...she had the scratches on her stomach. she says the other girl sent her daughter a facebook message the day before saying she would get her at school the next day. when ashley watches the video... she says it makes her sick seeing her daughter so defenseless. 18:30:12 you get in trouble for not sending your kids to school but they're letting the violence happen at school. ashley received a letter saying her daughter was suspended from red bank for twenty days because the school has a no tolerance policy for fighting. 18:23:44 i don't see my daughter being able to do nothing or that she did anything to deserve the punishment she's getting. she thinks other kids should be punished as well for nagging it on. and she says the video that's been circling facebook and cell phones is just as damaging to her daughter. 18:26:23 it bothers her it really does... it bothers her. since she's suspended...her daughter won't be going back to school until march...and ashley says she fears something worse could happen then. 18:28:22 i don't feel safe with my daughter going back to red bank high school. i do not want her enrolled in that school period. since schools were closed today along with the school board...we weren't able to get in touch with them for their side. we'll continue looking into this story monday for the schools comment. a stabbing last  « Less
