A Moorhead Minnesota soldier has been killed while fighting the war on terror. Sergeant Andrew Nelson died in Iraq Wednesday while on patrol near Tikrit. Nelson was on his third tour of duty in Iraq. He also served one tour of duty in Afghanistan. Nelson was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and was based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He grew up in Moorhead but graduated from Shanley High School across the river in Fargo, North Dakota in 2003. He's remembered as a young man with a big heart. Andrew Nelson was 22.  « Less
