Manufacturing jobs are some of the most sought after by cities. They are high paying jobs and add to the economic development of a community. In this weeks edition of around town, Brad Feldman shows us where a new manufacturing business will be setting up shop in Bismarck. {Open} A manufacturing business will be going on this lot in east Bismarck. GPM Incorporated builds, sells and maintains pumps for many different industries. Some of them include mining, power plants, utility and the food industry. GPM hopes to utilize the Bismarck office to manufacture a new two inch pump they will be bringing to the market. Initially they will employ four people and add more as the company grows. The plan is to have the operation running by the end of January. {Transition} A new food place is coming to the Kirkwood Mall. Great Tacos and Itti Bitz Ice Cream will be going into this space directly across from Auntie Anne's Pretzel Shop. They will have taco salads, enchilladas, hard and soft shell tacos, burritos and much more. For dessert you can get yourself a dish of Itti Bitz Ice Cream. They will have seven different flavors. The plan is to open the shop by the end of September. {Transition} Capital Electric Power Cooperative in BBismarck is expanding. They will be adding ten thousand square feet to its building for offices and meeting spaces. In addition there will be another fourteen thousand square feet of service space added to the building. In addition to the expansion, they are unveiling a new logo. Taking you around town, I'm Brad Feldman. In other business news, the former Cycle Hutt Building on East Main in Bismarck has been sold. An investor purchased the building and is lookng for a tenant.  « Less
