A North Dakota company is helping needy people around the world. The Falkirk Farmers Elevator is taking part in a government program where they bag food and send it to third world countries. Here they are bagging whole dry yellow peas in one hundred and ten pound bags. Ron Hefta is the manager of the elevator. He says this is the companies first full harvest season bagging products for the government. He says so far everything is going as scheduled and they have more plans for the future. (Ron Hefta/ Falkirk Farmers Elevator) they are donating a lot of the products to a third world country. were also doing some export of green peas where we are cleaning and shipping them out of the PNW, Pacific Northwest and we are getting ready for the upcoming dry edible bean harvest where we will handle pinto beans at falkirk. To give you an idea of how many bags Hefta and his crew can do in one day. The machine will bag and stack between three and four thousand bags in an eight hour period. « Less
