BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC-TV MyFoxAL.com)-- The civil rights struggles and the holocaust are two dramatic events that are coming alive for a special group of high school students. Thirty African American and Jewish students who live in Washington DC are touring the country as a part of Operation Understanding DC'. Most of them are learning a great deal of their history as they tour the Birmingham civil rights institute. « Less
