Couples all over North Dakota are getting hitched today. That's because today is a lucky one... so some think. It's the seventh day of the seventh month in the year oh-seven. Many of these couples will spend their honeymoon on a romantic getaway. But not one Bismarck couple. Still honeymooners themselves, Tony and Barbara Haff decided to celebrate their marriage a little differently. Tia Elzenga explains. Tony: four months, yep, we got married in Febuary we're still honeymooners, shortly after we got married we bought this here tractor behind me and we've been working on it ever since Barbara: spent our honeymoon preparing tractors. Tony: we enjoy it we get along real good, gee we haven't gotten in no fight over it yet. Reporter: Refinishing tractors might not be some couples ideal, but for these two it just seems to fit Tony: we enjoy doing this its a pastime we're both retired Reporter: The Haffs also own T Bar C Angus Ranch, but they always find time for their tractors. Tony: we raise the black angus cattle and we got international tractors what more do we need, Barbara: keeps us out of trouble. Reporter: The tractors are 1945 and 1947 model A Farmall's, and its costs a lot to dress these two up. Tony: lotta hours and lotta money and I'd just as soon not say how much money, I'd say between the two of us we've got a hundred hours in it Reporter: With so much love put into these two, they aren't for sale Tony: admire them look at them we get done entering parades this summer we'll just cover them with blankets and let em sit till someone comes around we'll show em to em and you know what I mean its not a buy sell get rich thing, and make an extra dollar, no it isn't, its a hobby. Reporter: Plans for more tractors are already in the works Tony: we'll be refinishing more you know its what do I want to say, its in your blood. Reporter: Tony says Barbara's number one, cattle are number two, and tractors are right up there with both. For KX News I'm Tia Elzenga Tony and Barbara took part in the Blazin Hazen Daze Parade this morning. And they say they have several more parades they plan to attend yet this summer. « Less
