Now that Dave Joerger has jumped from the Dakota Wizards to the NBA, it looks like a number of his former players are trying to follow in his footsteps. At least eight guys who were on the Wizards roster last year have been invited to join various Summer League Teams. Rod Benson will play with Joerger's team, the Memphis Grizzlies while both Chris McCray and Awvee Storey will play with the Milwaukee Bucks. Renaldo Major will suit up with the Miami Heat while Morro Dos Santos will go to the Dallas Mavericks. Justin Williams will stay with the team that called him up last year, the Sacramento Kings. He is a restricted free agent. Finally, Jerome Beasley and Kevin Lyde are with the New Jersey Nets and Utah Jazz respectively. Generally, guys hope to use Summer League as a springboard for an invite to a veterans camp.  « Less
