Native American children in the Bismarck-Mandan area need foster homes. Mike Mabin, Project Coordinator for the Native American Foster Care Recruitment Task Forces says between 60 and 70 children need a temporary foster family every yaer. And there's only one licensed foster home currently in our area. Mike Mabin: its a good starting point and example that we actually have one home that we can start to build others from now as well. The Native American Foster Care Recruitment Task Force has been working for over a year to help get information out to residents. But native american foster homes are still needed.
